Job Title: Math Teacher
Location: Sheffield
Pay: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are recruiting a Mathematics Teacher for high-achievingschool in Sheffield. We are looking for a knowledgeable and enthusiastic educator who can deliver inspiring lessons, develop pupils' confidence in Mathematics, and encourage analytical thinking through high-quality teaching.

The Math Teacher is going to have an excellent opportunity to help pupils strengthen their mathematical understanding while developing the skills and confidence needed for future success.

Maths Teacher Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Mathematics lessons in line with the National Curriculum
  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of pupils with different learning abilities
  • Encourage logical reasoning, critical thinking, and effective problem-solving
  • Assess pupil progress and provide constructive feedback to support achievement
  • Create a positive classroom environment that promotes participation and high expectations
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support curriculum development and pupil attainment

Math Teacher Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is essential
  • Experience teaching Mathematics in a school setting
  • Strong subject knowledge and understanding of effective teaching strategies
  • Ability to motivate pupils through engaging and well-structured lessons
  • Excellent classroom management, communication, and organisational skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
