Salary: £460 - £650 per week (depending on experience and qualifications)

Are you confident managing a classroom and keeping students motivated to learn? A welcoming secondary school in Doncaster is seeking a dependable Cover Supervisor to support pupils and maintain continuity of learning across a range of subjects.
About the Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of teaching staff, ensuring students remain engaged and complete the work provided. You will manage classroom behaviour, encourage positive participation, and create a calm learning environment while working closely with teachers and pastoral colleagues. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain valuable classroom experience and make a real difference to students' education.

Responsibilities:

Supervise lessons using work prepared by teaching staff.

Maintain positive behaviour and encourage students to stay focused.

Support pupils with questions while following the lesson plan provided.

Record attendance and report any concerns to relevant staff members.

Create a safe, organised and productive classroom environment.

Work collaboratively with teaching and pastoral teams throughout the school day.
Requirements:

Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable.

Strong communication and classroom management skills.

A calm, confident and adaptable approach.

Ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues.

A genuine commitment to supporting young people's education.

Experience within schools or similar educational settings is advantageous.
