As a Cover Supervisor, you will oversee lessons during teacher absences, ensuring students remain focused and complete the work set by teaching staff. You will manage classroom behaviour, provide guidance where appropriate, and help maintain a positive learning environment across a range of subjects. Responsibilities:

Supervise whole-class lessons using pre-prepared learning materials.

Maintain positive behaviour and ensure students stay on task.

Support students with their learning while following school policies.

Record attendance and report any concerns to the appropriate staff.

Create a calm, safe and purposeful classroom environment.

Work collaboratively with teaching and pastoral teams throughout the school day.
Requirements:

Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable.

Confident classroom management and communication skills.

A calm, adaptable and professional approach.

Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.

A genuine interest in supporting young people's education.

Experience within schools or other educational settings is advantageous.

Have the right to work in the UK.

Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last two years.

Have an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
