Salary Scale: £92 – £110 per day (Depending on experience)

GSL Education are currently recruiting for a caring, enthusiastic, and committed Teaching Assistant to work across schools and educational settings in Scarborough and the surrounding areas.
This is a rewarding opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting children's learning and development. Working alongside teachers and wider school staff, you will help students build confidence, develop essential skills, and overcome barriers to learning, enabling them to make meaningful progress both academically and personally.
About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will provide classroom-based support to teachers while working with individual learners and small groups to reinforce learning, encourage participation, and promote independence. You will contribute to creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment where every student has the opportunity to succeed.
Core Responsibilities of the Teaching Assistant:
- Support teachers in delivering engaging and effective learning activities
- Work with individual students and small groups to reinforce learning objectives
- Encourage positive behaviour, confidence, and active participation in lessons
- Assist in preparing learning resources and maintaining an organised classroom environment
- Support students with varying learning needs, adapting your approach where appropriate
- Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff to promote positive student outcomes
As the Ideal Teaching Assistant, You Should Have:
- Experience working with children or young people in an educational, childcare, or support setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A patient, positive, and adaptable approach to supporting learners
- Ability to build strong relationships and work effectively within a team
- Good organisational skills and a proactive attitude towards learning support
- A genuine passion for helping young people succeed
To Work with GSL Education, You Must:
- Have the right to work in the UK
- Provide an up-to-date CV with relevant reference information covering the last 2 years
- Have recent experience working with children or young people
- Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one
