This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join a highly supportive pastoral team on a permanent basis from September or October 2026.
The Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting students with a range of additional learning needs, helping them to develop confidence, independence and achieve their full potential.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
- Working closely with teachers to adapt learning and promote engagement.
- Encouraging positive behaviour and building strong relationships with students.
- Providing emotional, social and academic support throughout the school day.
- Assisting with the implementation of EHCPs and personalised learning strategies.
- Creating a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment where every student can flourish.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience working with children or young people (school experience is desirable but not essential).
- Is patient, compassionate and resilient.
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Is committed to helping every student achieve their personal best.
- Can work effectively as part of a collaborative staff team.
- Has a genuine passion for education and supporting young people.
This role would suit experienced Learning Support Assistants, Teaching Assistants, graduates considering a career in education, or individuals with transferable experience from care, youth work or support work.
