Salary: £90–£120 per day (dependent on experience)

A welcoming and nurturing nursery setting in Darlington is seeking a caring and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join their team. This Nursery Assistant role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting young children's early learning, development and wellbeing within a safe and stimulating environment.
The successful Nursery Assistant will work alongside experienced early years practitioners to support children through play-based learning, daily routines and engaging activities. This is a fantastic opportunity to help children build confidence, independence and essential early learning skills.
Key Responsibilities of the Nursery Assistant:

Supporting children within the nursery and Early Years setting.

Assisting with play-based learning and educational activities.

Supporting children's communication, language and social development.

Helping with classroom preparation and daily routines.

Encouraging positive behaviour and independence.

Supporting children's personal care where required.

Building positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.

Helping to create a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
The Ideal Nursery Assistant Will:

Have previous experience working with young children in a nursery or early years setting.

Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years (preferred but not essential).

Be caring, patient and enthusiastic.

Have excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Have a good understanding of the EYFS Framework (desirable).

Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply).

Have a fully checkable work history.
