Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Doncaster
Salary: £460 - £600 per week (depending on experience and qualifications)
Contract Type: Long-term / Temporary, Full-time / Part-time

About the Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide tailored support to pupils with special educational needs, helping them access learning, develop confidence and achieve their individual goals. Working closely with teachers and other support staff, you will deliver one-to-one and small group support while adapting your approach to meet each student's needs. Every day offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference through patience, encouragement and consistency.

Responsibilities:

Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with special educational needs.

Assist teachers in delivering engaging and accessible lessons.

Adapt learning activities to meet individual student needs.

Encourage positive behaviour, confidence and participation in the classroom.

Monitor student progress and communicate observations with teaching staff.

Help maintain a safe, organised and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements:

Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable.

Experience supporting pupils with SEN is advantageous.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

A patient, compassionate and resilient approach.

Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

A genuine commitment to supporting children's learning and wellbeing.

Have the right to work in the UK.

Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last two years.

Have an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
Please be advised that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection and that successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks including providing an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service, or completing an application for a new check.
