Salary Scale: £168.80 – £261.79 per day

GSL Education are currently recruiting for a dedicated, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable Teacher of Maths to work across secondary schools in York and the surrounding areas.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to deliver engaging Mathematics lessons that challenge and inspire learners across Key Stages 3 and 4. Whether you are an experienced teacher or an Early Career Teacher (ECT), this role offers the opportunity to make a lasting impact on students' academic success and future aspirations.

About the Role:

As a Teacher of Maths, you will deliver high-quality lessons that promote mathematical understanding, logical reasoning, and analytical thinking. You will create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students are encouraged to develop confidence, tackle challenges, and achieve their personal best.

Teacher of Maths Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Mathematics lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Differentiate learning to meet the needs of students with varying abilities
  • Assess student progress and provide timely, constructive feedback
  • Prepare learners for internal assessments and external examinations
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and create a positive learning environment
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support student achievement and curriculum development

As the Ideal Teacher of Maths, you should have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or an equivalent teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching Mathematics within a secondary school setting
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for mathematics education
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills
  • Ability to engage and motivate learners of all abilities
  • A proactive, organised, and collaborative approach to teaching and learning

To Work with GSL Education, you must:

  • Have the right to work in the UK
  • Provide an up-to-date CV with relevant reference information covering the last 2 years
  • Have recent experience teaching within an educational setting
  • Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one
