Salary Scale: £32,916 – £51,048 per annum (MPS/UPS)

GSL Education are currently seeking a Science Teacher to work across a range of forward-thinking secondary schools in Selby. We are looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated, and innovative educator who is committed to delivering engaging Science lessons and helping students develop a strong understanding of the world around them.
Science Teacher Role:
The successful Science Teacher will deliver high-quality lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, encouraging curiosity, scientific enquiry, and problem-solving skills. We are looking to recruit a Science Teacher who can teach engaging lessons across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, while creating an inclusive learning environment that enables every student to thrive.
Science Teacher Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Teach practical and theoretical aspects of Biology, Chemistry, and Physics in line with the curriculum
- Assess, monitor, and record student progress, providing effective feedback to support achievement
- Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of students with varying abilities and learning styles
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and well-managed classroom and laboratory environment
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to promote high standards of teaching and student success
Science Teacher Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or an equivalent teaching qualification
- Experience teaching Science within a secondary school setting
- Strong classroom management and effective communication skills
- Excellent subject knowledge and the ability to inspire students through engaging lessons
- Strong organisational and planning skills with a commitment to student achievement
- An up-to-date CV covering the last ten years (with any gaps explained)
- An enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service, or willingness to apply
