Salary: £460 - £650 per week (depending on experience and qualifications)

As a Cover Supervisor, you will oversee classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff, ensuring students remain engaged and focused on the work provided. Responsibilities:

Supervise whole classes during the absence of the class teacher.

Deliver pre-planned lessons and ensure students remain on task.

Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school's policies.

Support students with their learning while encouraging positive participation.

Record attendance and report any concerns or incidents to the appropriate staff.

Help maintain a safe, organised and productive learning environment.
Requirements:

Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable.

Excellent communication and classroom management skills.

Confidence leading groups of students independently.

A calm, adaptable and professional approach.

Good organisational skills and the ability to think on your feet.

A genuine interest in supporting young people's education and development.

Have the right to work in the UK.

Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last two years.

Have an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
Please be advised that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection and that successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks including providing an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service, or completing an application for a new check.
