Salary: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)

About the Role:
As a Health & Social Care with Childhood Development Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons across Key Stage 4 and Post-16 where appropriate, helping students develop both subject knowledge and practical understanding of health, social care and child development. You will plan and assess learning effectively, encourage independent thinking and support students as they work towards vocational and academic qualifications. Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging Health & Social Care and Childhood Development lessons.

Assess, monitor and record student progress.

Adapt learning activities to meet the needs of individual students.

Deliver both theoretical and practical elements of the curriculum where appropriate.

Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
-
Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and carers where appropriate.

Contribute to the wider life of the school where appropriate.
Requirements:
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

Experience teaching Health & Social Care and/or Childhood Development within a secondary school or further education setting.

Strong subject knowledge and an understanding of relevant qualifications.

Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.

Strong communication and organisational skills.
-
An enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education.
