Job Title: Sports Coach
Location: Doncaster
Pay: £460–£650 per week (depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education South Yorkshire branch are looking to appoint Sports Coach for active schools in Doncaster. We welcome applications from energetic and reliable individuals who can deliver engaging physical activities, promote teamwork, and support pupils in building confidence through sport.
The Sports Coach role provides a valuable opportunity to use coaching skills within an educational setting while supporting pupils' physical, social, and personal development.
Sports Coach Responsibilities:
- Deliver structured sports sessions that encourage participation and skill development
- Use physical activity to promote teamwork, confidence, and positive behaviour
- Adapt activities to suit pupils with different abilities and needs
- Support teachers with engagement and behaviour where required
- Encourage healthy lifestyles and active involvement in school life
- Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
Sports Coach Requirements:
- Experience in sports coaching, fitness instruction, or related activities is desirable
- Ability to motivate and engage young people through practical sessions
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Positive, proactive, and adaptable approach to working with pupils
- Commitment to promoting participation, wellbeing, and personal development
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
