Job Title: Exam Invigilator
Location: Selby, North Yorkshire
Contract: Temporary, Part Time, Term Time Only
Start Date: September 2026 or sooner
Salary: £92 - £110 per day (Depending on Experience)

GSL Education are currently recruiting for reliable, organised, and professional Exam Invigilators to work across secondary schools and educational settings in Selby.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking for flexible work within education. As an Exam Invigilator, you will help maintain the integrity of the examination process by supervising students, following examination regulations, and ensuring exams are conducted smoothly and fairly.
About the Role:
As an Exam Invigilator, you will support the delivery of internal and external examinations by preparing examination rooms, supervising students throughout the assessment, and ensuring all examination procedures are followed. You will play an important role in creating a calm and professional environment where students can perform to the best of their abilities.
Core Responsibilities of the Exam Invigilator:
- Prepare examination rooms and materials in line with examination requirements
- Supervise students during examinations, ensuring regulations are followed at all times
- Distribute and collect examination papers and materials accurately
- Maintain a calm, secure, and distraction-free examination environment
- Record attendance and report any incidents in accordance with examination procedures
- Support the efficient administration of examinations before, during, and after each session
As the Ideal Exam Invigilator, You Should Have:
- Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail
- Ability to remain calm, professional, and impartial at all times
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to follow procedures accurately
- Experience working within an educational or supervisory environment is desirable but not essential
- A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and examination integrity
To Work with GSL Education, You Must:
- Have the right to work in the UK
- Provide an up-to-date CV with relevant reference information covering the last 2 years
- Have recent experience in an educational, administrative, or supervisory role, or transferable experience in a similar setting
- Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one
