Job Title: Computer Studies Teacher
Location: Sheffield
Pay: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education South Yorkshire branch are inviting applications for Computer Studies Teacher to join progressive schools in Sheffield. We are looking for a forward-thinking teacher who can deliver engaging lessons, inspire an interest in computing, and prepare students for an increasingly technology-driven world.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop students' digital literacy, computational thinking, and problem-solving skills while fostering creativity and innovation.

Responsibilities of CS Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Computer Studies lessons in line with the National Curriculum
  • Teach topics including programming, computer systems, cyber security, and digital literacy
  • Encourage students to develop logical thinking and practical computing skills
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support achievement
  • Create an inclusive learning environment that promotes curiosity and independent learning
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support curriculum development and departmental success

Requirements for Computer Studies Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
  • Previous experience teaching Computer Studies or Computing is desirable
  • Strong subject knowledge and confidence delivering both practical and theoretical lessons
  • Ability to engage students through creative and interactive teaching approaches
  • Excellent classroom management, communication, and organisational skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
