Job Title: Math Teacher
Location: Sheffield
Pay: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education South Yorkshire branch are looking to appoint a Mathematics Teacher for dynamic schools in Sheffield. We are seeking an enthusiastic educator who can deliver high-quality lessons, develop students' problem-solving abilities, and foster confidence in mathematical thinking.
The Maths Teacher is going to help students strengthen their numerical skills, analytical thinking, and logical reasoning while preparing them for future academic success.
Math Teacher Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging Mathematics lessons in line with the National Curriculum
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of learners with varying abilities
- Encourage students to develop confidence in problem-solving and mathematical reasoning
- Assess progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support achievement
- Maintain a positive classroom environment that promotes participation and high expectations
- Collaborate with colleagues to support curriculum planning and student attainment
Math Teacher Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
- Previous experience teaching Mathematics within a secondary school is desirable
- Strong knowledge of the Mathematics curriculum and effective teaching methods
- Ability to motivate students through engaging and well-structured lessons
- Excellent classroom management, communication, and organisational skills
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
