Job Title: Behaviour Support
Location: Sheffield
Pay: £460–£650 per week (depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education South Yorkshire branch are looking to appoint Behaviour Support staff for inclusive schools in Sheffield. We are seeking a patient and resilient individual who can provide consistent support, encourage positive behaviour, and help pupils develop the confidence to succeed in education.
The Behaviour Support role offers a rewarding opportunity to work closely with pupils, helping them build resilience, improve engagement, and achieve positive outcomes both academically and personally.
Behaviour Support Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one and small-group support for pupils with behavioural and emotional needs
- Implement positive behaviour strategies in line with individual support plans
- Encourage pupils to develop self-regulation, resilience, and confidence
- Work collaboratively with teachers and pastoral staff to improve classroom engagement
- Monitor progress and contribute to behaviour reports and intervention plans
- Promote a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment
Behaviour Support Requirements:
- Previous experience supporting children or young people with behavioural needs is desirable
- Good understanding of behaviour management and de-escalation techniques
- Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Positive, proactive, and resilient approach to supporting pupils
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
