About the Role
As a Math Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and well-structured Mathematics lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will create a positive and inclusive learning environment where pupils feel encouraged to ask questions, solve problems, and build confidence in their mathematical abilities.
The successful Math Teacher will work closely with colleagues to deliver a high-quality curriculum, monitor student progress, and provide the support needed for every learner to achieve their best.
This is a part-time, long-term position starting in September 2026, and applicants must be available to work 5 days per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Mathematics lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Inspire students to develop confidence, resilience, and enthusiasm for Mathematics
- Differentiate lessons to meet the individual needs of all learners
- Assess, monitor, and record pupil progress, providing constructive feedback
- Prepare students for internal assessments and GCSE examinations
- Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management
- Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and senior leaders to support student achievement
- Participate in departmental meetings, school events, and professional development activities
- Uphold safeguarding and school policies at all times
What We're Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – Essential
- Previous experience working as a Math Teacher in a secondary school
- Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for Mathematics
- Strong classroom management and organisational skills
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to inspire, challenge, and motivate students of all abilities
- A positive, adaptable, and professional approach to teaching
- Commitment to raising attainment and improving student outcomes
- Enhanced DBS Certificate registered on the Update Service – Essential
- Available to work 5 days per week
