Secondary Science GCSE Teacher – SEMH

Full-Time | Term Time Only (Part-Time considered – 3 days per week)
Pay: £165–£265 per day

GSL Education is excited to be recruiting a Secondary Science GCSE Teacher for a specialist education setting in NG2, Nottingham. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and resilient teacher who wants to make a genuine difference by supporting young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

With small class sizes and excellent classroom support, you'll have the time and resources to build meaningful relationships, tailor your teaching, and help every pupil reach their full potential—both academically and personally.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Deliver engaging and creative GCSE Science lessons that inspire a love of learning.
  • Adapt teaching to meet the individual needs of pupils with SEMH and additional learning needs.
  • Create a positive, structured classroom environment where every student feels safe, valued and supported.
  • Monitor progress, assess learning and celebrate pupil achievements.
  • Work closely with teaching assistants and the wider school team to ensure the best outcomes for every learner.
  • Take part in enrichment activities, educational visits and the wider school community.

What We're Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience teaching Science at GCSE level.
  • Previous experience supporting pupils with SEMH, SEND or challenging behaviour is highly desirable.
  • Strong classroom management skills and a calm, positive approach.
  • A compassionate, patient and resilient individual who is passionate about inclusive education.
  • A commitment to helping every young person succeed.
