Creative Teaching Assistant

Salary: £90–£120 per day (dependent on experience)

This Creative Teaching Assistant role is ideal for someone with a background or interest in art, music, drama, dance, media, sports or other creative disciplines who is passionate about supporting young people in their education and personal development.
The successful Creative Teaching Assistant will work closely with teachers and support staff to engage pupils through creative and interactive learning approaches. As a Creative Teaching Assistant, you will help pupils develop confidence, communication skills and a positive attitude towards learning while supporting them both inside and outside the classroom.
Key Responsibilities of the Creative Teaching Assistant:

Supporting teaching and learning within the classroom.

Working with pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.

Using creative activities to promote engagement and learning.

Encouraging pupils to develop confidence, communication and social skills.

Supporting pupils with SEND, SEMH or additional learning needs where required.

Assisting with classroom activities, educational projects and enrichment sessions.

Promoting positive behaviour and classroom engagement.

Helping to create a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment.
The Ideal Creative Teaching Assistant Will:

Have previous experience working with children or young people.

Have a background or strong interest in art, music, drama, dance, sports, media or other creative subjects.

Be energetic, enthusiastic and adaptable.

Have excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
-
Be confident supporting pupils with varying needs and abilities.

Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply).

Have a fully checkable work history.
