ICT Instructor – SEN School – Southend | ASAP or September Start | Full-Time

Are you confident delivering ICT lessons and passionate about helping pupils with Special Educational Needs succeed?

We are seeking an enthusiastic and adaptable ICT Instructor to join a specialist SEN school in Southend. This is an exciting opportunity for experienced Instructors, Cover Supervisors, HLTAs, Teaching Assistants, ICT Tutors, and aspiring teachers looking to deliver engaging, practical learning to pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Speech, Language & Communication Needs (SLCN), and other complex needs.

The Role

As an ICT Instructor, you will:

  • Deliver engaging ICT and Computing lessons using pre-planned or adapted learning materials
  • Inspire pupils through interactive lessons covering digital skills, online safety, coding, and everyday technology
  • Adapt teaching methods to meet a variety of learning styles and individual EHCP outcomes
  • Encourage independence, confidence, and active participation in learning
  • Work closely with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs, and the wider school team to support pupil progress
  • Maintain a positive, structured, and inclusive learning environment
  • Support pupils in developing valuable digital and life skills for the future

What We're Looking For

  • Experience delivering lessons, training, tutoring, or leading learning activities
  • A strong knowledge of ICT or Computer Science
  • Experience working with children or young people is desirable
  • Confidence managing a classroom and engaging learners with additional needs
  • A patient, flexible, and positive approach
  • Cover Supervisors, HLTAs, Tutors, ICT Trainers, Teaching Assistants, Graduates, and aspiring teachers are all encouraged to apply

Pay & Benefits

  • £100–£250 per day (depending on experience)
  • ASAP or September start
