Job Title: KS2 English Teacher
Location: Newcastle upon Tyne
Pay: £750–£1,100 per week (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education Newcastle branch are seeking KS2 English Teachers to join primary schools across Newcastle upon Tyne. We are looking for an enthusiastic and creative educator who can deliver engaging English lessons, strengthen literacy skills, and help pupils become confident readers, writers, and communicators.
The Key Stage 2 English Teacher will have the opportunity to shape pupils' literacy development during a crucial stage of their education while preparing them for a successful transition into Key Stage 3.
KS2 English Teacher Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging English lessons in line with the Key Stage 2 curriculum
- Develop pupils' reading, writing, grammar, spelling, and comprehension skills
- Differentiate learning to meet the needs of pupils with varying abilities
- Assess progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support achievement
- Create an inclusive classroom that promotes creativity, confidence, and a love of literature
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and parents to support pupils' academic development
KS2 English Teacher Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
- Previous experience teaching English within Key Stage 2 is desirable
- Strong knowledge of the English curriculum and effective literacy teaching strategies
- Ability to inspire and motivate pupils through engaging and creative lessons
- Excellent classroom management, communication, and organisational skills
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
