Job Title: Behaviour Support
Location: Sheffield
Pay: £460–£600 per week (depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education South Yorkshire branch are partnering with vibrant schools in Sheffield to recruit Behaviour Support. We are looking for compassionate and resilient individuals who can provide consistent guidance, encourage positive choices, and help pupils engage confidently with their learning.

This role offers a rewarding opportunity to support pupils' emotional wellbeing while helping them build resilience, self-confidence, and positive relationships within the school community.

Behaviour Support Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support for pupils experiencing behavioural and emotional challenges
  • Encourage positive behaviour through consistent guidance and effective intervention strategies
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and pastoral teams to improve student engagement
  • Help pupils develop confidence, resilience, and emotional regulation skills
  • Contribute to behaviour support plans and monitor pupil progress
  • Promote a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment

Behaviour Support Requirements:

  • Previous experience supporting children or young people with behavioural needs is desirable
  • Good understanding of behaviour management techniques and inclusive practice
  • Ability to remain calm and professional when responding to challenging situations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Positive, patient, and proactive approach to supporting young people
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
