Job Title: Graduate Teaching Assistant
Location: Durham
Pay: £475–£557 per week (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education Newcastle branch are working with welcoming schools across Durham to appoint Graduate Teaching Assistant (GTA). We would like to hear from an enthusiastic graduate who is eager to support pupils' learning, develop practical classroom skills, and make a positive contribution to students' academic and personal development.
This role is an excellent opportunity to gain first-hand experience in education while working alongside experienced teachers and supporting pupils across a range of learning activities.
Graduate TA Responsibilities:
- Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons and classroom activities
- Provide one-to-one and small-group assistance to pupils where required
- Encourage positive behaviour and active participation throughout the school day
- Assist with preparing learning materials and organising classroom resources
- Monitor pupil engagement and provide feedback to teaching staff
- Contribute to creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
Graduate Teaching Assistant Requirements:
- A degree in any subject is essential
- Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Positive, proactive, and adaptable approach to supporting learning
- Genuine interest in pursuing a career within education
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
