Job Title: KS2 Teacher
Location: Durham
Pay: £750–£1,100 per week (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education Newcastle branch are working with amazing schools in Durham to appoint Key Stage 2 Teacher. The successful candidate will be a dedicated and creative educator with the ability to deliver engaging lessons, raise attainment, and encourage pupils to develop both academically and personally.
The KS2 Teacher will guide the students through an important stage of their education, helping them build the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed for the transition to secondary school.
Responsibilities of KS2 Teacher:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet the Key Stage 2 curriculum
- Differentiate teaching to support pupils with a range of abilities and learning needs
- Assess progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to promote achievement
- Foster a positive classroom culture that encourages curiosity, resilience, and independence
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and parents to support pupil development
- Maintain high standards of behaviour, safeguarding, and classroom practice
Requirements for KS2 Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
- Experience teaching within Key Stage 2 is desirable
- Strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum and effective teaching strategies
- Ability to motivate pupils and create engaging learning experiences
- Excellent classroom management, communication, and organisational skills
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
