Job Title: KS1 Teacher
Location: Durham
Pay: £750–£1,100 per week (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education Newcastle branch are recruiting KS1 Teacher to work in vibrant schools in Durham. We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated educator who can deliver engaging lessons, inspire a love of learning, and create a supportive classroom where every child can thrive.
The Key Stage 1 Teacher role provides an excellent opportunity to nurture pupils' academic, social, and emotional development while preparing them for future success.
KS1 Teacher Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver creative lessons that meet the Key Stage 1 curriculum
- Create an inclusive classroom where pupils feel confident to learn and participate
- Monitor progress and adapt teaching strategies to support individual learning needs
- Encourage positive behaviour and foster a caring, respectful learning environment
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and parents to support pupil development
- Maintain accurate records and uphold safeguarding responsibilities
KS1 Teacher Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
- Previous experience teaching within Key Stage 1 is desirable
- Secure knowledge of the KS1 curriculum and effective classroom practice
- Ability to motivate and inspire young learners through engaging teaching
- Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
