Job Title: Geography Teacher
Location: Wakefield WF2
Pay: £150–£200 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education South Yorkshire branch are working with schools in Wakefield WF2 to recruit Geography Teachers. We are seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic educator who can deliver engaging lessons, develop students' understanding of physical and human geography, and encourage curiosity about global issues.
The Geography Teacher will provide an opportunity to help students build geographical knowledge, analytical thinking, and awareness of the world they live in.
Geography Teacher Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging Geography lessons that meet curriculum expectations
- Use maps, case studies, fieldwork, and digital resources to support learning
- Encourage students to explore environmental, social, and global issues
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support achievement
- Create an inclusive classroom environment that promotes discussion and enquiry
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support departmental planning and success
Geography Teacher Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
- Previous experience teaching Geography within a secondary school is desirable
- Strong subject knowledge and understanding of the Geography curriculum
- Confident delivering engaging lessons for students of varying abilities
- Excellent classroom management, communication, and organisational skills
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
