Pay: £110–£120 per day (depending on experience)

GSL Education South Yorkshire branch are seeking Teaching Assistant to join schools in Wakefield WF6. We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic person to support classroom learning, with opportunities available in both full-time and supply positions to suit different working preferences.
The Teaching Assistant (TA) will provide valuable classroom support while helping pupils build confidence, develop key skills, and enjoy a positive learning experience.
Responsibilities of TA:
- Provide one-to-one and small-group support to reinforce classroom learning
- Assist teachers with lesson preparation and classroom organisation
- Encourage pupils to stay engaged and participate confidently in learning activities
- Support positive behaviour and help create a respectful classroom environment
- Observe pupil progress and share feedback with teaching staff where appropriate
- Promote safeguarding and contribute to a safe and inclusive school community
Requirements for TA:
- Previous experience supporting children or young people is desirable
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Flexible approach with the confidence to work in different classroom settings
- Passion for supporting children's academic and personal development
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
