Job Title: Supply Teacher

Pay: £150–£200 per day (depending on experience)

Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education South Yorkshire branch are working with schools in Wakefield WF6 to recruit Supply Teachers to teach subjects including English, Mathematics, Science, History, and Geography. We welcome applications from flexible and confident educators who can step into different classroom settings, maintain high standards of learning, and support students in achieving their best.
The Supply Teacher role offers a valuable opportunity to gain experience across varied educational settings while delivering subject-specific lessons that keep students engaged and progressing.
Supply Teacher Responsibilities:
- Deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects, including English, Mathematics, Science, History, and Geography
- Maintain a positive classroom environment that supports learning and participation
- Adapt quickly to different school settings, year groups, and subject requirements
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies and expectations
- Provide feedback to teaching staff on lesson progress and student engagement
- Uphold safeguarding standards and contribute to a safe learning environment
Supply Teacher Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
- Experience teaching one or more secondary subject areas is desirable
- Confidence delivering lessons across different classroom environments
- Good behaviour management skills with a flexible teaching approach
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
