Job Title: General Primary Teacher
Location: Sheffield S5
Salary: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)
Contract Type: Long-term / Temporary, Full-time / Part-time
Start Date: September 2026
Are you a dedicated Primary Teacher who enjoys creating engaging learning experiences and helping children achieve their full potential? A welcoming primary school in the Sheffield S5 area is seeking a committed General Primary Teacher to join their team from September 2026.
About the Role:
As a General Primary Teacher, you will plan and deliver creative, engaging lessons across the primary curriculum, supporting pupils' academic, social and emotional development. You will monitor progress, adapt teaching to meet individual needs and create a positive classroom environment where children feel encouraged to learn and succeed. Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging lessons across the primary curriculum.

Assess, monitor and record pupil progress.

Differentiate learning to meet the needs of individual pupils.

Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.

Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and carers where appropriate.

Contribute to the wider life of the school where appropriate.
Requirements:
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

Experience teaching within a primary school setting.

A good understanding of the primary curriculum.

Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.

Excellent communication and organisational skills.

A passion for delivering high-quality teaching and supporting pupil achievement.

An enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education.
