Job Title: Key Stage 2 Teacher
Location: Barnsley
Salary: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)
Contract Type: Long-term / Temporary, Full-time / Part-time
Start Date: September 2026

Are you an enthusiastic Key Stage 2 Teacher who enjoys helping pupils build confidence, develop independence and achieve their best? A welcoming primary school in Barnsley is looking for a dedicated teacher to join their team from September 2026.

About the Role:

As a Key Stage 2 Teacher, you will plan and deliver engaging lessons that inspire pupils and support their academic and personal development. You will assess progress, adapt learning to meet individual needs and create a classroom environment where children feel motivated to succeed. Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons across the Key Stage 2 curriculum.

  • Assess, monitor and record pupil progress.

  • Differentiate learning to meet the needs of individual pupils.

  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and carers where appropriate.

  • Contribute to the wider life of the school where appropriate.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

  • Experience teaching within Key Stage 2 or a strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum.

  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.

  • A passion for delivering high-quality primary education.

  • An enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education.

  • Have an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
