Salary: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)

A welcoming secondary school in Sheffield is seeking a dedicated Health & Social Care with Childhood Development Teacher to join their team and inspire students through engaging, practical learning.

About the Role:

As a Health & Social Care with Childhood Development Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons across Key Stage 4 and, where applicable, Key Stage 5. You will help students develop a strong understanding of health, wellbeing, child development and the care sector while encouraging them to build the knowledge and skills needed for further study or future careers. Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Health & Social Care and Childhood Development lessons.

  • Assess, monitor and record student progress.

  • Differentiate learning to meet the needs of individual students.

  • Deliver both theoretical and practical aspects of the curriculum where appropriate.

  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and carers where appropriate.

  • Contribute to the wider life of the school where appropriate.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

  • Experience teaching Health & Social Care and/or Childhood Development within a secondary school or college setting.

  • Strong subject knowledge and an understanding of relevant qualifications.

  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.

  • Strong communication and organisational skills.

  • A passion for delivering high-quality teaching that prepares students for future opportunities.

  • An enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education.
