Pay: £90–£120 per day (depending on experience)

Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education Newcastle branch are recruiting Teaching Assistant (TA) for welcoming schools in Middlesbrough. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers to provide classroom support, encourage pupil engagement, and contribute to creating a positive learning experience for all students.
The TA role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with young people and wants to play an active part in helping pupils develop academically, socially, and emotionally.
Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons and daily classroom activities
- Provide one-to-one and small-group support to reinforce learning objectives
- Encourage pupils to participate confidently and remain focused during lessons
- Help prepare learning resources and maintain an organised classroom environment
- Observe pupil progress and communicate feedback to teaching staff
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and positive atmosphere where every learner can succeed
Teaching Assistant Requirements:
- Previous experience supporting children or young people is desirable
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach
- Confident building positive relationships with pupils and school staff
- Flexible, reliable, and willing to adapt to different classroom situations
- Genuine commitment to supporting pupils' learning, wellbeing, and development
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
