Job Title: Sports Coach
Location: County Durham
Pay: £90–£120 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education Newcastle branch are keen to appoint a Sports Coach to support schools across County Durham. We welcome applications from energetic and enthusiastic persons who can use physical activity to motivate students, encourage positive behaviour, and create engaging learning experiences.
The Sports Coach is going to help students develop essential life skills while promoting participation, wellbeing, and personal achievement through sport.
Sports Coach Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging sports sessions that encourage participation and physical development
- Use coaching techniques to promote teamwork, resilience, and self-confidence
- Adapt activities to ensure pupils of all abilities can take part successfully
- Support teachers with behaviour management and student engagement where required
- Encourage students to achieve personal goals while celebrating individual progress
- Work collaboratively with school staff to promote a positive and inclusive environment
Sports Coach Requirements:
- Practical experience in sports coaching, physical education, or recreational activities
- Ability to inspire young people through engaging and inclusive physical activities
- Confident leading groups while maintaining a safe and supportive environment
- Good communication skills and a positive, professional attitude
- Genuine passion for encouraging healthy lifestyles and student wellbeing
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
