Location: Darlington
Pay: £140–£190 per day (depending on experience)

GSL Education Newcastle branch are recruiting SEN Teacher for inclusive schools across Darlington. We want an experienced and dedicated professional who can deliver personalised learning, foster a supportive classroom environment, and help pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) reach their full potential.
The Special Educational Needs Teacher role provides an opportunity to make a genuine difference by supporting pupils' academic achievement, emotional wellbeing, and personal development through tailored teaching approaches.
SEN Teacher Responsibilities:
- Deliver differentiated lessons that meet the individual needs of pupils with Special Educational Needs
- Develop and implement personalised learning strategies to support academic and personal progress
- Build positive relationships with pupils to encourage confidence, independence, and engagement
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, SENCOs, parents, and external professionals
- Monitor pupil development and adapt teaching approaches to maximise outcomes
- Maintain an inclusive, safe, and nurturing classroom environment
SEN Teacher Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
- Experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs within a school setting is desirable
- Sound understanding of inclusive teaching practices and differentiated learning
- Confident managing behaviour while promoting positive learning experiences
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a patient, adaptable, and caring approach
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
