Job Title: Primary Teacher
Location: Durham
Pay: £140–£190 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education Newcastle branch are working with welcoming schools in Durham to recruit Primary Teacher. We are seeking an enthusiastic educator who can deliver engaging lessons, encourage pupil development, and create a classroom where every child feels supported to achieve their best.
The Primary Teacher is going to nurture pupils' academic progress while supporting their confidence, creativity, and overall wellbeing.
Primary Teacher Responsibilities:
- Deliver creative and engaging lessons that meet the needs of learners across the primary curriculum
- Create an inclusive classroom where pupils feel valued, motivated, and supported
- Track pupil progress and adapt teaching strategies to maximise learning outcomes
- Encourage curiosity, independence, and active participation through inspiring lessons
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and parents to support children's development
- Maintain high standards of behaviour, safeguarding, and classroom practice
Primary Teacher Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
- Previous experience teaching within a primary school is desirable
- Good understanding of the National Curriculum and effective classroom practice
- Confident planning and delivering lessons for pupils of varying abilities
- Strong communication, organisational, and relationship-building skills
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
