Level 3 Teaching Assistant
Location: Middlesbrough
Salary: £90–£120 per day (dependent on experience)
Start Date: September 2026

A welcoming and supportive school in Middlesbrough is seeking a dedicated Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join their team. This Level 3 Teaching Assistant role is ideal for someone with a recognised Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification who is passionate about supporting pupils and helping them achieve their full potential.
The successful Level 3 Teaching Assistant will work closely with class teachers to support pupils across a range of year groups and abilities. As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, you will provide classroom support, deliver targeted interventions and work with pupils on both a 1:1 basis and in small groups to promote progress and engagement.
Key Responsibilities of the Level 3 Teaching Assistant:

Supporting teaching and learning within the classroom.

Delivering targeted interventions to individuals and small groups.

Working with pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.

Assisting with lesson preparation and classroom organisation.

Supporting pupils with SEND and additional learning needs where required.

Promoting positive behaviour and classroom engagement.

Adapting learning resources to meet individual pupil needs.

Helping to create a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment.
The Ideal Level 3 Teaching Assistant Will:

Hold a recognised Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.

Have previous experience working within a UK school setting.

Be patient, adaptable and supportive in approach.

Have strong communication and teamwork skills.

Be confident supporting pupils with varying abilities and additional needs.

Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply).

Have a fully checkable work history.
