Job Title: Sports Coach
Location: Sunderland
Pay: £95–£115 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education Newcastle branch are partnering with some amazing schools in Sunderland to recruit a Sports Coach. We are seeking an energetic and positive individual who can use sport as a tool to encourage participation, build confidence, and promote personal growth.
The Sports Coach will engage students through physical activity while helping them develop teamwork, resilience, and self-discipline.
Responsibilities of Sports Coach:
- Deliver structured sports sessions and physical activities for students
- Encourage participation and help students develop confidence through sport
- Promote teamwork, leadership, and positive behaviour during activities
- Support students in achieving personal and group objectives
- Create inclusive activities that allow students of all abilities to take part
- Work closely with staff to support student wellbeing and engagement
Sports Coach Requirements:
- Experience delivering sports sessions or physical activities to children or young people
- Ability to create a positive and encouraging learning environment
- Confident managing groups while promoting safe and inclusive participation
- Patient, approachable, and adaptable to the needs of different learners
- Keen to support students' physical, social, and emotional development
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
