Job Title: SEN Support
Location: Gateshead
Pay: £95–£115 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education Newcastle branch are giving an opportunity to dedicated SEN Support staff to join inclusive schools in Gateshead. We would like to hear from a compassionate individual who can provide tailored support, promote independence, and help pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) thrive both academically and personally.
This role offers a rewarding opportunity to work closely with pupils, helping them overcome barriers to learning while creating a positive and supportive educational experience.
SEN Support Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and small-group support tailored to pupils' learning needs
- Assist teachers in delivering inclusive and engaging classroom activities
- Encourage independence, confidence, and positive behaviour throughout the school day
- Support the implementation of individual learning and behaviour plans
- Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families to promote student progress
- Contribute to a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
SEN Support Requirements:
- Experience supporting children or young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is desirable
- Confident adapting your approach to meet a range of learning and behavioural needs
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusting relationships
- Calm, patient, and resilient when supporting pupils facing additional challenges
- Genuine commitment to promoting inclusion, wellbeing, and positive outcomes
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
