Job Title: SEN Teacher
Location: Newcastle
Pay: £130–£220 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education Newcastle branch are looking for a SEN Teacher to join supportive educational institutes in Newcastle. We want a compassionate and skilled educator who can provide tailored learning experiences, promote inclusion, and help pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) reach their full potential.

The SEN Teacher will create positive learning experiences while supporting pupils' academic, emotional, and social development through personalised teaching approaches.

SEN Teacher Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver differentiated lessons that meet individual learning needs
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment for all pupils
  • Develop and implement personalised learning strategies to support pupil progress
  • Work closely with teaching assistants, SENCOs, parents, and external professionals
  • Monitor student development and adapt teaching approaches where required
  • Encourage independence, confidence, and positive behaviour throughout the school day

SEN Teacher Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
  • Proven background supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is desirable
  • Good knowledge of inclusive teaching methods and personalised learning strategies
  • Confident managing behaviour and building positive classroom relationships
  • Patient, adaptable, and committed to achieving positive outcomes for every learner
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
