Job Title: Science Teacher
Location: Wakefield WF12
Pay: £150–£200 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education are looking to appoint a Science Teacher to join welcoming schools in Wakefield WF12. We are seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic educator who can deliver engaging lessons, inspire scientific curiosity, and help students develop the skills needed to succeed across the sciences.

The Science Teacher role offers an exciting opportunity to encourage critical thinking, practical investigation, and a deeper understanding of the world through high-quality science education.

Responsibilities of Science Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons in line with the national curriculum
  • Encourage practical investigation and enquiry-based learning through safe laboratory activities
  • Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of learners with varying abilities
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support achievement
  • Create an inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and participation
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support curriculum development and departmental success

Requirements for Science Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
  • Experience teaching Science within a secondary school is desirable
  • Strong subject knowledge across one or more science disciplines
  • Ability to deliver engaging practical and theory-based lessons
  • Excellent classroom management, communication, and organisational skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
