Salary: £460 - £650 per week (depending on experience and qualifications)

Are you confident leading a classroom and looking to make a real difference in secondary education? A welcoming secondary school in Worksop is seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor to join their team from September.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will oversee lessons during teacher absences, ensuring students remain engaged with the work provided and maintain positive behaviour throughout the school day. You will play an important role in supporting learning across a range of subjects while helping to create a calm, organised and productive classroom environment. Responsibilities:

Supervise whole-class lessons using work set by teaching staff.

Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.

Ensure students remain focused, engaged and on task throughout lessons.

Provide guidance and support where appropriate without introducing new content.

Record attendance and report any concerns or incidents to relevant staff.

Help maintain a safe, respectful and productive learning environment.
Requirements:

Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable.

Strong communication and classroom management skills.

Confidence leading groups of students independently.

A calm, organised and professional approach.

Ability to adapt to different subjects and classroom settings.

Experience in education or youth work is advantageous.

Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last two years.

Have an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
