Job Title: Design and Technology Teacher
Location: Doncaster
Pay: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education are seeking a Design and Technology Teacher to join forward-thinking schools in Doncaster. We want a creative and knowledgeable educator who can deliver engaging practical lessons, develop technical skills, and encourage students to think critically through hands-on learning.

The D&T Teacher will provide an excellent opportunity to nurture creativity while preparing students with practical skills for future education and careers.

DT Teacher Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging practical and theory-based Design and Technology lessons
  • Teach students to design, create, evaluate, and refine a range of projects
  • Promote safe working practices when using tools, machinery, and workshop equipment
  • Differentiate lessons to support learners with varying abilities and learning styles
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to encourage improvement
  • Contribute to curriculum planning and collaborate with colleagues across the department

Design and Technology Teacher Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
  • Experience teaching Design and Technology within a secondary school is desirable
  • Strong knowledge of the Design and Technology curriculum and workshop safety
  • Ability to deliver engaging practical lessons that inspire creativity
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
