Job Title: Cover Supervisor
Location: Doncaster
Pay: £460–£650 per week (depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term
Are you ready to confidently lead a classroom and keep students engaged in learning when their teacher is absent?
GSL Education are looking to appoint a Cover Supervisor (CS) to work within supportive educational settings in Doncaster. We are seeking a confident and adaptable individual who can supervise pre-planned lessons, manage classroom behaviour, and ensure students remain focused throughout the school day.
This role is ideal for someone looking to build classroom experience while making a positive contribution to students' learning and development.
Cover Supervisor Responsibilities:
- Supervise pre-planned lessons across a variety of subjects and year groups
- Ensure students remain engaged and complete the work set by teaching staff
- Maintain a calm, productive classroom environment in line with school behaviour policies
- Manage classroom routines and respond appropriately to day-to-day challenges
- Provide clear feedback to teachers regarding lesson progress and student participation
- Support the wider school community with additional duties where appropriate
Cover Supervisor Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable
- Confident managing groups of students in a classroom environment
- Excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills
- Flexible approach with the ability to adapt to different school settings
- Professional, reliable, and able to work independently
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
