Job Title: Mathematics Teacher
Location: Barnsley
Pay: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education are looking to appoint a Mathematics Teacher to join high-achieving schools in Barnsley. We are seeking a dedicated teacher who can deliver engaging lessons, challenge learners of all abilities, and inspire students to develop confidence in mathematics.
The Mathematics Teacher is going to shape students' problem-solving abilities while preparing them for future academic and career success.
Math Teacher Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Mathematics lessons that engage and challenge students across different ability levels
- Differentiate teaching approaches to meet individual learning needs and maximise progress
- Use assessment data to monitor achievement and inform future lesson planning
- Encourage logical thinking, resilience, and confidence through interactive learning activities
- Prepare students for assessments and examinations with structured revision and support
- Contribute to departmental initiatives that enhance teaching standards and student outcomes
Maths Teacher Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
- Experience teaching Mathematics in a secondary school is desirable
- Strong subject knowledge with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly
- Passion for raising attainment and motivating students to achieve their potential
- Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
