Job Title: Computer Studies Teacher
Location: Sheffield
Pay: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience)

Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education are working with progressive schools in Sheffield to recruit a Computer Studies Teacher. We are looking for an innovative educator who can deliver engaging lessons, develop students' digital skills, and encourage curiosity about technology and computing.

The Computer Studies Teacher will provide the opportunity to equip students with the knowledge and practical skills needed to succeed in an increasingly digital world.

Responsibilities of CS Teacher:

  • Deliver engaging Computer Studies lessons that meet curriculum expectations and inspire learning
  • Teach key topics including digital literacy, programming, cybersecurity, and computer systems
  • Encourage logical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving through practical activities
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support achievement
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom where students feel confident to explore technology
  • Contribute to departmental planning and share effective teaching practices with colleagues

Computer Studies Teacher Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
  • Experience teaching Computer Studies or Computing within a school setting is desirable
  • Strong subject knowledge and confidence using a range of digital technologies
  • Ability to deliver engaging practical and theory-based lessons
  • Excellent classroom management, communication, and organisational skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
