Job Title: Mathematics Teacher
Location: Sheffield
Pay: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education are seeking a Mathematics Teacher to join ambitious schools in Sheffield. We are looking for a knowledgeable and enthusiastic teacher who can deliver engaging lessons, build students' confidence in mathematics, and encourage them to achieve their full academic potential.

The Maths Teacher will develop students' analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and numerical confidence through high-quality teaching.

Responsibilities of Math Teacher:

  • Deliver engaging Mathematics lessons that meet curriculum objectives and challenge learners of all abilities
  • Use a range of teaching strategies to improve mathematical understanding and achievement
  • Assess student progress regularly and adapt lessons to support individual learning needs
  • Foster a classroom culture that promotes curiosity, resilience, and independent thinking
  • Prepare pupils for internal assessments and external examinations where appropriate
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance teaching standards across the department

Requirements for Mathematics Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
  • Experience teaching Mathematics within a school setting is desirable
  • Strong subject knowledge and understanding of the Mathematics curriculum
  • Ability to motivate students and raise attainment through engaging lesson delivery
  • Excellent classroom management, communication, and organisational skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
