Job Title: Design and Technology Teacher
Location: Sheffield
Pay: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education are looking for a Design and Technology Teacher to join vibrant schools in Sheffield. We want an innovative educator who can deliver engaging practical lessons, encourage creativity, and equip students with valuable design and problem-solving skills.
The Design and Technology Teacher has the opportunity to inspire students through hands-on learning while developing their confidence, technical ability, and creative thinking.
Responsibilities of DT Teacher:
- Plan and deliver engaging Design and Technology lessons that meet curriculum requirements
- Teach practical skills while promoting creativity, innovation, and safe workshop practices
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support achievement
- Prepare and maintain tools, equipment, and learning resources for practical activities
- Foster an inclusive classroom where students feel confident to explore and create
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning across the department
Requirements for D&T Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
- Experience teaching Design and Technology within a school setting is desirable
- Strong knowledge of the Design and Technology curriculum and health and safety requirements
- Ability to inspire students through practical and creative learning experiences
- Excellent classroom management, organisation, and communication skills
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
