Job Title: Behaviour Support
Location: Sheffield
Pay: £460–£650 per week (depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education are recruiting a Behaviour Support professional to join inclusive schools in Sheffield. We are interested in hearing from resilient and compassionate individuals who can promote positive behaviour, build meaningful relationships with students, and support them in achieving their full potential.

The Behaviour Support role is ideal for someone who is committed to improving student engagement, confidence, and wellbeing through consistent guidance and encouragement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students in managing their behaviour and making positive choices throughout the school day
  • Implement behaviour strategies that encourage engagement and reduce classroom disruption
  • Build positive relationships with pupils to promote trust, confidence, and resilience
  • Work closely with teachers and pastoral staff to deliver targeted behaviour interventions
  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate behaviour and wellbeing records
  • Help create a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment for all students

Behaviour Support Requirements:

  • Previous experience supporting children or young people with behavioural needs is desirable
  • Good understanding of behaviour management strategies and safeguarding practices
  • Ability to remain calm, patient, and professional in challenging situations
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Resilient, adaptable, and committed to supporting positive student outcomes
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
