GSL Education Hull Branch are currently seeking a Spanish Teacher to work within a thriving secondary school in York. We are looking for an enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and committed educator who is passionate about delivering engaging language lessons and inspiring students to become confident communicators in Spanish.

Spanish Teacher Role:

The successful Spanish Teacher will deliver engaging and well-structured lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, fostering students' confidence in speaking, listening, reading, and writing. We are looking to recruit a Spanish Teacher who can motivate learners of all abilities, create an inclusive classroom environment, and encourage an appreciation of Spanish language and culture.

Spanish Teacher Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality Spanish lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Develop students' speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills through engaging teaching strategies
  • Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of learners with varying abilities and learning styles
  • Assess, monitor, and record student progress, providing constructive feedback to support achievement
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that promotes a love of languages
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support student progress and contribute to the wider life of the school

Spanish Teacher Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or an equivalent teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching Spanish within a secondary school setting
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal abilities
  • A passion for modern foreign languages and a commitment to delivering high-quality education
  • An up-to-date CV covering the last ten years (with any gaps explained)
  • An enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service, or willingness to apply
