Salary: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)

About the Role:
GSL Education South Yorkshire are currently looking for a Key Stage 2 Teacher to work within a supportive primary school in Barnsley. This is an excellent opportunity to deliver engaging lessons that encourage curiosity, confidence and academic progress while preparing pupils for the next stage of their education.

Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging lessons across the Key Stage 2 curriculum.

Assess, monitor and support pupil progress.

Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils.

Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.

Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and carers where appropriate.
Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

Experience teaching within Key Stage 2 is desirable.

Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.

Excellent communication and organisational abilities.

A commitment to delivering high-quality primary education.

An Enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
To work with GSL Education as a Key Stage 2 Teacher, you should:

Have the right to work in the UK.

Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last two years.

Have an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
Please be advised that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection and that successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks including providing an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service, or completing an application for a new check.
